Three generations gathered at Erina's Matthew John Nursing Home and Maxine Louise Aged Care Facility to celebrate Jean Sullivan’s 100th birthday.

The lively mother of two, grandmother of six and great-grandmother of eight had a big week as she celebrated ten decades.

In the company of friends and family, she celebrated with husband Greg, son John, granddaughter Jess and great grandchildren Molly and Tom.

"I can't believe all these people have come along to celebrate my birthday, it's just so lovely," Mrs Sullivan said.

She attributes longevity to good humour and a nip of whisky. "Well I do like to have a nip every night, although some days I do feel the need to double it," Mrs Sullivan laughed.
