The Elms Lifestyle Community

The first thing people notice about The Elms is the stunning entrance. All of grounds are maintained, but the gardening group at The Elms have adopted the entrances (front and back) as their own special project, and the result is just delightful. The Village itself is also feels homely and welcoming. Being the first one built (in 2001), it looks and feels established. There is a real sense of community at The Elms. The residents are active in various clubs and groups, and bowls is very popular, but there are also plenty of ways to pursue individual interests. Every second year, the residents (as a whole) organise a charity fair. Stalls of home-made produce, artwork, and crafts intermingle with music, singing, and even a demonstration by the local fire brigade (complete with fire engine). Each year, a Christmas concert is also held at the Community Hall. The Elms is ideally located for shopping, medical centres and transport (with direct routes from outside the village to the city, airport and nearby shopping centres). And there are plenty of places to go in and around the area.
