May Shaw - Aminya is a homely 32 bed facility located in the heart of the rural North East of Tasmania and boasts magnificent panoramic rural views of rolling hills and Mount Stronach.
 
Aminya is located in Scottsdale, a comfortable 45 minute scenic drive from Launceston, and is situated a short 20 min drive from the seaside town of Bridport. The town of Scottsdale is home to many facilities, including a comprehensive medical centre, a hospital, pharmacy, major banks, and many others services and facilities.
 
Aminya' is an aboriginal term for ‘peaceful place'. Throughout the home there are cosy sitting areas to enjoy a quiet moment in the sun taking in the lush pastures or to entertain visitors.
 
We offer single rooms, all with private ensuites, and can provide all levels of care. All rooms have electric high/low beds and appropriate furniture and storage areas – leaving the opportunity for residents to personalise their new space by bringing items from home.
 
Our residents are able to participate in group activities and individualised programs, which are developed to cater for resident's preferences.
 
Aminya is more than an Aged Care Facility, it’s a home, that harnesses the North East country living.
